Canadian singer-musician and voice actress Ashleigh Ball is best known for her roles in the Barbie film series, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Littlest Pet Shop, Bratz, Barbie, and Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures.
Ashleigh is also a singer for a rock band called Hey, Ocean!, which she started with the rest of her bandmates in 2005. The band has so far released three albums.

Short biography articles have indicated that she was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., Canada in March 31st of 1983, and that she graduated from the Canadian College of Performing Arts.

In 2016, Ashleigh Ball was nominated for Best Performance in an Animated Program or Series in the 2016 Leo Awards for her performance in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Her documentary, A Brony Tale, was also nominated for Best Feature Length Documentary Program in the same award-giving body during the same year.
In the 2012 Behind the Voice Actors Awards (BTVA), Ashleigh Ball was nominated for BTVA Voice Acting Award’s Breakthrough Voice Actor of the Year, but she won the same award at the BTVA People’s Choice Voice Acting Awards in the same instead.
In 2013, 2014, and 2015, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic won Best Vocal Ensemble in a Television Series – Children’s/Educational in the BTVA Awards.
My Little Pony: Equestria Girls, on the other hand, won Best Vocal Ensemble in a TV Special/Direct-to-DVD Title or Theatrical Short at the 2014 BTVA People’s Choice Voice Acting Awards.
